Chris is a pharmaceutical professional with a variety of experience, which spans bench research to market research, marketing, contracting and sales. She most recently worked with a boutique medical communications company (ECIR Medical Communications) that provides a variety of services to large pharmaceutical clients, but started her career at GlaxoSmithKline in NC, making monoclonal antibodies in the research lab. After 15 years at GSK HQ and a Fuqua School of Business MBA, she moved to Gainesville for her husband's position in the Warrington School of Business at UF. A few years later, she became the first Director of Sales and Marketing of Florida Biologix (Alachua, FL), a contract biologic drug manufacturing organization affiliated with the University of FL.
Working in the commercial environment at one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world allowed Chris to experience and participate in high-level strategic and operational planning, as well as understand the teamwork and commitment to excellence that is required to enable successful organizations to thrive.
