Kathryn Vinzant

Kate has been involved with horses her entire life. As the fourth generation of her family to be in the Thoroughbred racing industry she has an extensive equine background. Kate has ridden, shown and cared for horses in every capacity from a guide on a dude ranch to giving horse drawn carriage tours. The most rewarding experience was her involvement with Maryland Council for Special Equestrians, a therapeutic riding program, whom she worked with for years. Kate attended the University of Louisville’s Equine Business Administration Program and is currently the Referral Liaison for the University of Florida’s Large Animal Hospital. She lives in Gainesville with her husband Patrick, the business manager for Florida Equine Publications, a division of the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association.
